Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Br1ead

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 onion, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

1 Italian bread or baguette

1/4 cup butter, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
Add diced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar. Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the Italian bread or baguette in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic powder. Spread this garlic butter mixture evenly on the cut sides of the bread.
Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the garlic buttered bread.
Bake the cheesy garlic bread in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once the garlic bread is golden and crispy, remove it from the oven. Spoon the hot Sloppy Joe mixture onto one half of the bread.
Place the other half of the garlic bread on top to create a sandwich. Slice into individual portions and serve hot.
