Cozy Grandma’s Hobnobs

Ingredients

2 cups oats

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

2 tbsp golden syrup

a pinch of salt
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the golden syrup to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Take small portions of the dough and shape them into round balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon to create a disc shape.
Bake the Hobnobs in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
