Preheat the oven and prepare the toast: Preheat the oven to 205°C (400°F). Place the bread slices on a baking sheet.
Prepare the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic (if using).
Brush and top: Brush both sides of each slice of bread evenly with the butter mixture. Sprinkle evenly with grated cheese.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Serve the cheesy toast warm and enjoy!
