Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley), chopped
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, and beaten egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Gently fold in the shredded cheese and chopped herbs into the batter.
Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
