Ingredients
1 large head of cabbage
1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or a combination)
1 cup cooked rice
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
2 bay leaves
Directions
Start by carefully removing the outer leaves of the cabbage and blanching them in boiling water until they are pliable.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, cooked rice, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and fold them into neat rolls.
Arrange the cabbage rolls in a baking dish, pour tomato sauce over them, and add bay leaves for extra flavor.
Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven until the cabbage is tender and the filling is cooked through.
Serve the Stuffed Polish Cabbage hot, garnished with additional tomato sauce and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
