Ingredients
6-8 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
Combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Mix well.
Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it out into an even layer.
Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt for the crumble topping in another bowl. Add cold butter and rub into dry ingredients until crumbly.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples in the baking dish, covering them completely.
Bake the apple crumble in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and apples are tender.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
