1 pound ground beef

4 potatoes, peeled and chopped

1 onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon paprika

Optional: Cheese, herbs, vegetables

Start by peeling and chopping the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Rinse them under cold water to remove excess starch.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
Season the beef mixture with salt, pepper, and paprika, adjusting the seasonings to taste.
Add the chopped potatoes to the skillet, stirring to combine with the beef. Cover and simmer until the potatoes are tender.
If desired, sprinkle grated cheese over the top of the dish and cover until melted.
Serve the ground beef and potato mixture hot, garnished with fresh herbs or additional seasonings if desired.
