Cornflake Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups cornflakes
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the cornflakes and chocolate chips. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop rounded dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Flatten each dough ball slightly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
