Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 cup beef broth
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 package (30 oz) frozen hash browns, thawed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until browned and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
Season the beef mixture with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried thyme. Stir in beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and sour cream.
Layer half of the thawed hash browns, beef mixture, and cheddar cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake for 20 more minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let the casserole rest before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
