Old-Fashioned Pineapple Br1ead Pudding

Ingredients

8 cups sliced bread (white or whole wheat)

1 cup canned pineapple chunks (or fresh pineapple)

4 eggs

2 cups milk

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup butter

1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
Cut the sliced bread into cubes and place them in the prepared baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Drain the pineapple chunks and add them to the egg mixture, stirring gently to distribute evenly.
Pour the pineapple and custard mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring that the bread is evenly soaked.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the bread pudding for a warm, aromatic flavor.
Dot the top of the pudding with butter for a golden, crispy finish.
Bake the bread pudding in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
Once baked, remove the pudding from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy your Old-Fashioned Pineapple Bread Pudding warm or chilled, as is or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
