Retro Bakery Style Pecan Pie Bark

Ingredients

2 cups pecan halves

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the pecan halves evenly on the prepared baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, unsalted butter, and water. Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture reaches a caramel consistency.
Remove the caramel mixture from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt until well combined.
Pour the caramel mixture over the toasted pecans on the baking sheet, spreading it evenly.
Allow the pecan pie bark to cool and set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Once set, break the pecan pie bark into pieces of your desired size and shape.
Optional: Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon over the pecan pie bark for an extra layer of flavor.
