Simple Garlic Knots Recipe

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

1 cup warm water

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and form it into a knot.
Place the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
Brush the garlic butter mixture over the warm garlic knots and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve and enjoy!
