Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti pasta
1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours to allow flavors to meld and sauce to thicken.
Cook spaghetti until al dente, drain, and add to slow cooker. Toss to coat with sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Pair with a side salad and crusty bread.
